Meet Katerina
At 17, Katerina is quite an accomplished young lady. She is an honor roll senior at Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she was elected to be Historian for the National Honor society. Katerina plans on applying to several colleges on the West Coast to study filmmaking. Since the age of 11, she has dreamed of being a film director.
Katerina has trained for voice and acting since she was 7 years old. She has been singing in the St. Nicholas Cathedral’s Choir since she was eight. Over the years, she has been back-up singer to the likes of Christopher Cross, Bill Medley (the surviving Righteous Brother), The Canadian Tenors and Dave Koz (Grammy Nominee for saxophone).
A Rising Star…
Katerina is also a professional actress (stage and film), and is a singer/songwriter. In early 2021 she wrote and recorded a powerful song and performed it in her music video. Her Tears of Silence lyrics are from the point of view of a trafficked teen. Most recently she was honored to have been invited to sing the National Anthem by Congressman Gus Bilirakis for our veterans, for MLB at a Miami Marlins/NY Mets game, and for the NBA at Greek Night for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Co-writing Cancer In Our Family-An Easy-To-Read Guide to Better Health for All Ages was a very emotional process for her. However, for her second book, titled A Globe Within a Globe, she was able to combine her passion of history, writing, and theater.
